Kat Rees Quartet

✨ A little bit of studio magic with the Kat Rees Quartet

Every now and then, a session unfolds that feels… effortless.
Not because it’s simple — but because everything just lands.

That was exactly the case when the Kat Rees Quartet joined us in the studio this week. 🎙️

🎤 Meet the quartet

This was a lineup built for feel, finesse, and serious musical chemistry:

  • Kat Rees — Vocals

  • Tomos JB — Piano

  • Benedict Stephens — Double Bass

  • Bailey Love — Drums

From the first note, it was clear: this wasn’t going to be a “piece-by-piece” kind of session.
This was a lock in, breathe together, and let it flow kind of day.

🎧 When everything clicks

There’s a particular kind of energy that only happens when a group is completely in sync.

No overthinking.
No chasing takes.
Just musicians listening, reacting, and shaping the sound in real time.

The grooves? Tight.
The playing? Effortless.
The atmosphere? The kind you wish you could bottle and keep on a shelf for later. 🫙✨

🛠️ A studio setup firing on all cylinders

This session also gave us the perfect excuse to put some new additions through their paces:

  • Vocals captured in our brand new Studiobricks booth — clean, controlled, and beautifully detailed

  • A stunning piano supplied by Coach House Pianos, bringing warmth and character to every note

  • Drums from Ev-entz, sitting perfectly in the room and driving the session forward

Everything just… worked. Like a well-rehearsed band in its own right.

🙌 A session to remember

Massive thanks to an incredible group of musicians for bringing such energy, precision, and musicality into the space.

Sessions like this are why we love what we do — capturing not just sound, but moments.

And trust us…
you’re going to want to hear what came out of this one 👀🎶

More from this session coming very soon.
