The Lost and Found

The Lost and Found

From Battle of the Bands to the studio floor 🎸🔥

Every now and then, a project comes along that feels like a full-circle moment. Recording The Lost and Found was exactly that.

Fresh off winning The Foundry’s Battle of the Bands — an event we were proud to sponsor with a free recording — the band came straight into the studio ready to make it count. And behind the scenes, there was a familiar thread running through it all, with the event led by Dean, a former COBRA business partner. One of those “small world, big energy” kind of days.

Meet the band

The lineup is tight, focused, and seriously fun to work with:

  • Edd — Rhythm Guitar / Lead Vocals

  • Jon — Lead Guitar / Backing Vocals

  • Arnie — Bass Guitar

  • Darren — Drums

The session

We packed a lot into a five-hour window, running from 4pm through to 9pm — three tracks recorded, captured, and brought to life in a single evening.

There’s a particular buzz to sessions like this. No overthinking, no endless revisions — just momentum. The kind where ideas stick quickly, performances land hard, and everyone leaves knowing something special’s been bottled.

And honestly… these tracks sound epic. ⚡

Capturing the moment

What stood out most wasn’t just the playing (which was spot on), but the intent behind it. They came in with something to prove — not in a forced way, but with that quiet confidence you tend to see in bands who’ve just earned their stripes on stage.

Our job was simple:

  • Capture that live energy without over-polishing it

  • Keep things moving so the momentum never dipped

  • Create a space where performances felt natural, not manufactured

Why it mattered

Supporting emerging artists is a huge part of what we’re about, and being able to tie that into live events like Battle of the Bands makes it even more rewarding.

You get to see the full arc:
Stage → Win → Studio → Record

And in this case, The Lost and Found absolutely made the most of it.

Huge thanks to the band for bringing the energy, and to Dean and The Foundry for putting on a brilliant event.

We’ve got a feeling this is just the beginning for these guys. 🚀
